“FOX Sports University is another component of the real-world participation in the USF Sport & Entertainment Management program. It’s an invaluable experience to pitch our plan to a client and see it come to life.”

“The most enlightening part of the project was our primary research.  It allowed us to identify the issues FOX Sports Florida faces and create a campaign centered around solutions.”

“Pursuing a career in hockey, this was the perfect challenge. I’m very proud to add an NHL advertising campaign to my portfolio. I’m excited to see the campaign come to life in our community.”

Jordan Bellar

Jordan Bellar

Jordan Bellar grew up in Lakeland, FL. He graduated from Samford University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and entrepreneurship. Jordan previously worked in marketing and sales for Tony Dungy’s All Pro Dad, Talladega Superspeedway, the PGA of America, and most recently for the USF Sport & Entertainment Management program, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning. Outside of school he enjoys staying active, playing or watching a variety of sports. Upon graduation Jordan wants to work in corporate partnerships for a professional team or start a sport marketing consulting firm to utilize his passion for technology and enhancing the fan experience.

“The FOX Sports U experience was invaluable. With this project as a component, the Sport & Entertainment Management program here at USF definitely prepares each of one of us to advance our careers.”

“As someone whose background and interests lie in sport marketing, this project provided a great outlet to showcase my team’s abilities.”

“Next year, people across the region will see our ideas in action. Being from this area originally, it’s an incredible feeling.”

“It is very rare at this point in our careers to approach future interviews knowing that we have actual marketing material to provide. The knowledge and experience FOX Sports University has given us could be a major factor in regards to receiving future positions.”

“It is an incredible feeling to be able to tell friends and family that my group won a classroom project, and will now be involved in the creative process of a Tampa Bay Lightning marketing campaign. Fox Sports University has been the most challenging, yet rewarding academic experience I have ever had.”

“The best part about this project is that we’ll be able to see our work broadcast throughout and make a difference in our community.”

“The team at FOX Sports gave us one basic premise – increase TV viewership for the Lightning – and let us run wild with our imaginations.  They provided enough feedback to keep us on track, but ultimately we had the final say in our campaign.  They showed a lot of faith in our ability to create something special.”

“Being able to discuss this project, and show the spoils for our victory gives our entire group a leg up in every job interview that we’ll participate in for years to come.”
