Arjan Ligtenberg

Arjan Ligtenberg

Arjan Ligtenberg is a senior at the University of Southern California and a former captain and four-year letter winner of the 2008 National Championship men’s water polo team. During his athletic career at USC, Ligtenberg helped guide the Trojans to a 100-6 record and two national championships across four years. Ligtenberg looks to graduate in May 2009 with a Bachelors Degree in Business with a Finance focus.

Growing up in the Silicon Valley, Ligtenberg attended Gunn High School in Palo Alto, Calif. and was privileged to play internationally for the US. Youth and Junior National water polo teams.

Ligthenberg lists reading, fishing and following the Manchester United soccer team as his top interests.

Devon Borisoff

Devon Borisoff

A letter winner of the University of Southern California men’s water polo team, Devon Borisoff is working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. While his career path is undecided, Borisoff holds aspirations to become a sports broadcaster.

The Southern California native is an avid sports fan of the Los Angeles Angels and a season ticket holder of the Los Angeles Clippers. A third generation Trojan, Borisoff’s parents and grandparents all graduated from USC and he has only missed two home Trojan football games since his birth.  In his free time, Borisoff enjoys surfing along the beaches of the Southland.

Prior to discovering his athletic abilities and water polo talents, Borisoff appeared in five movies and one television show between the ages of 7 and 10. Along the way, he worked with three Oscar-winning directors and six Oscar winning actors and actresses.

Will Agramonte

Will Agramonte

A sophomore film major at the University of Southern California, Will Agramonte was a member of the 2008 National Championship men’s water polo team. Will is an aspiring standup comedian that loves the outdoors.  Upon graduation he is interested in filming a documentary on the USC water polo team.

During his senior year at Gunn High School in Palo Alto, Calif. Agramonte broke his league’s scoring record and was named MVP of the Northern California All-Star Game.

Agramonte is an avid fan of the Dallas Mavericks and lists surfing and improv comedy as two of his top interests. He also shares a tshirt design company with his brother Thomas.


Spring 2009 Project Description

FOX Sports West teamed up with the University of Southern California to create a marketing campaign for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim’s 2009 season.


Professor Profile

Kimberlie Stephens

Kimberlie Stephens

Dr. Stephens strives to work at the intersection of research and practice. A student of organizations, she works as an instructor, facilitator and researcher to bridge academia and industry, allowing each to inform and motivate the other. As an instructor in the Communication Management Masters Program, Dr. Stephens aims to help students understand both the power and limitations of theory-in-practice by requiring them to apply course concepts in corporate, public and non-profit contexts.

Dr. Stephens’ main areas of research are strategic communication, organizational design and interorganizational relationships. Her work aims to increase our understanding of how organizations achieve their strategic goals in the midst of highly interdependent, complex and fast-paced communication environments. She has worked in different capacities with organizations such as the United States Navy, Anna’s Linens, Fox Sports, Nickelodeon and Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Dr. Stephens received her doctorate in organizational communication from the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California. Prior to returning to graduate school she received her B.A. in Communication and worked at Promedica International CME, a continuing medical education provider.
