Spring 2015 Winners - 2/3 Creative

Travis Dobler

Travis Dobler

Travis was born in a small town on the eastern shore of Virginia where he stayed for a few years before movie to Daytona Beach, Florida. During his attendance at Mainland High School, he balanced a myriad of sports and academic interests. To continue his growth, Travis chose to attend the University of Florida as a part of the graduating class of 2015. Here, he would make lifelong friends, realize his passion for the science and art behind advertising and marketing and spend way too much time eating at Tijuana Flats. The internships he held with and Mad 4 Marketing on both sides of Florida’s peninsula prepared him to take his work to the next level both in and out of the classroom. Travis plans to work at an employment services firm and see where his career takes him. He has hope of one day starting his own business or agency before retiring to life on a boat. Wherever the future takes him, he is always thankful for his past and the many people that have crossed his path, comprising the village that raised him.

“Simply the concept that something you might create could be executed to promote the FOX Sports Go app and working toward an opportunity for something so tangible really inspired my team and I to come together with our specialties and create a little piece of magic.”

“Out of all the campaigns that I have been a part of building in my time as a student at the University of Florida, working to increase awareness and success for the Go app in order to appeal to Floridian basketball fans presented me with such a unique experience through the FOX Sports U program.”

“Having the ability to finally present all of our creative and the videos to a panel of FOX Sports U representatives and my peers was definitely the pinnacle of this project for me.”

“Fox Sports University provided such a unique experience in which students were able to take what they learned in the classroom and apply it to a real world problem in order to find the proper solution.”

“Being able to actually create something with the possibility of being used by a big name such as Fox Sports was exciting. The possible reward of having our work shown to sport fans is what drove our motivation to create the best campaign possible.”

“The best part of the Fox Sports University experience was meeting and working with many creative minds. I learned to work with team members of all creative backgrounds, preparing me for future work situations.”
