“This program was one of my favorite and most rewarding things I did here at Mizzou.”

“I was amazed by the support and help from the Fox Sports team throughout the semester so that we would have the best possible project to present.”

“This experience blew away all of my expectations going into it. Fox Sports was an amazing opportunity that not only let me combine my love of sports with advertising, but also gave me experience I can use in the future. When I walk into interviews, the first thing the interviewers always ask about is this program.”

Randi Bass

Randi Bass

Randi Bass graduated from the University of Missouri in May 2019. Before graduation, she worked on a FOX Sports University campaign as her team’s video producer. She conceptualized, storyboarded and brought video ideas to life with the help of her teammates. Randi has taken her passion for video and used it to her advantage in her current role as a television news and sports reporter at WDVM News in Maryland. In her spare time, she enjoys taking her dogs out for a walk around the neighborhood and taking trips to the beach.

“I really put my video production and editing skills to the test with this campaign. I had a lot of fun being creative with our video concepts and final products.”

“Most members of our team didn’t know each other at first. By the end of the semester, we all really enjoyed working together and hanging out as friends. We definitely had a lot of laughs!”

“The video production process is demanding from start to finish. My team supported me in my role and were always ready to help out in anyway they could. I’m really thankful for that.”

In his free time, Kody enjoys playing the guitar, working out, and watching Baseball and Hockey.

“One of the best experiences about working with Fox Sports U is that it gave students the opportunity to work with a real-world company and project. Most of the times in college we are assigned projects that are useful, however they do not make it out of the classroom. This project was different in that it had the potential to reach individuals on not only a regional level, but on a national level as well.”

“One large benefit of the project was the real-world experience of what it was like to work with a team to achieve a common goal. Having been assigned specific roles, we each had to find a way to contribute individually while coming together as a group to create a successful campaign.”

“Above all, I would say the challenges that came with this project were what benefitted me the most. As in any project, there was obstacles that our group had to face. I think learning how to overcome those obstacles in this campaign has really helped prepare me to handle future challenges that I will face in a job down the line.”

When she isn’t working, you can find her reading a new book, traveling to new places, or sometimes both at the same time.

“Fox Sports University has given me real-world experience in a field I’m extremely passionate about. Perhaps most importantly, this opportunity has given me the confidence to pursue those passions after graduation.”

“Fox Sports University was easily one of the coolest experiences I received during my time at Mizzou. Months after graduation, I still find myself talking to anyone who will listen about this incredible experience.”

“The Fox University team was so kind and responsive to our ideas. It was evident they wanted us to challenge ourselves and produce quality work that we could be proud of.
