Symone Williams

Symone Williams

Symone Williams, Advertising major, Sociology minor from Los Angeles, California, plans to take on the Advertising world full force once she gradates from Howard University in May 2018. From producing a campus talk show to interning in various media relations and branding roles, Symone simply finds excitement in embracing new challenges and opportunities.

Working on the FOX Sports University project allowed me to discover a confidence in myself and my abilities that I did not know I even possessed.

This project made me even more excited to get out into the ‘real world’ and start my career.

Not only was this one of the most interesting and rewarding projects I’ve had in my undergrad career, but the FOX representatives were incredibly helpful with their advice and criticism, making the experience, as a whole, incredible!

Mikayla McCray-Ross

Mikayla McCray-Ross

Born and raised in New Jersey, Mikayla McCray-Ross is currently in her Junior year at Howard, with hopes to graduate in May of 2018. Mikayla majors in advertising and minoring in graphic design. After graduation, Mikayla hopes to start a career in advertising. She has interests in working on the creative team for an agency or network. Mikayla also has interests in using her skill set to push campaigns for social justice and equality. As well as, finding a fit somewhere that allows her to travel and see the world both for her career and personal interests.

I really appreciate Fox Sports U for this opportunity and experience, it meant the world to me!

The Fox Sports U program was one of the most rewarding school projects I have ever had to work on. I feel like I got a taste of what it is like to work at an actual network. It was challenging at times but the result of all the hard work was well worth it.

I plan on applying the knowledge and skills I gained from Fox Sports U, in my professional career.
