Kevin Jimenez

Kevin Jimenez is a senior studying Broadcast Journalism at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. After graduation he hopes to work in digital marketing for a sports team or agency. His experience with Fox Sports University as well as his time as a marketing coordinator for Local Motors is what gave him to passion to pursue a career in marketing. He found that the skills he learned as a journalism can help to excel at marketing. Born and raised in San Diego he enjoying all things outdoors and loves to go backpacking with his dog. He follows the sports world very closely and is a fan of all things from surfing to football.

“This experience with the Diamondbacks and Fox Sports was the most valuable in my academic career. Its rare that you can get first hand experience in college on what it is like to be a professional marketer.”

Audrey Weil

Audrey Weil

Audrey Weil is in her final year of a combined Bachelor’s and Master’s degree program at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Her emphasis is in broadcast journalism, and she will graduate in May 2016. She has a passion for videography and storytelling, in both journalism and advertising realms. She is a reporter for the award-winning student newscast Cronkite News on Arizona PBS, and she also does freelance videography. Life is an adventure for Audrey, and she looks forward to any and all opportunities that await her.

“There’s a heightened feeling of success in getting to work on a project that extends beyond the classroom – to a television network, a professional sports team, and the widespread community they reach.”

Danielle Eurich

Danielle Eurich

Danielle was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado. She decided to attend Arizona State University after high school and is currently a senior who will graduate in May. She is majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communication with an emphasis in sports. Sports have always been an important part of her life, especially baseball, so this is what got her first interested in the field. During her junior year at ASU, she got an internship with the Arizona Diamondbacks in the video production department. She loved her experience with the D-backs and is grateful for all she learned from it. She is currently a production crew member for the Arizona Coyotes, and after graduation she wants to continue to work in the video production department for a professional sports team. Through all her achievements, family is still the most important thing in Danielle’s life, and she would not be where she is today without their love and support.

“Being able to work with Fox Sports and the Diamondbacks was absolutely amazing. It did not feel like a class project. It felt like I was in the real world, and that’s what made it one of the best learning experiences I have had.”

“The fact that Fox Sports allows college students to take on marketing projects involving professional organization is a dream for any student interested working in the sports industry. It proves that they want to give us the chance to show them what we can do.”

“It was great helping the D-backs with a project that was outside of the department I interned for. Thanks to the Fox Sports U program, I was able to do something completely different from video production and gain more experience with the team.”

FOX Sports Arizona and the Diamondbacks challenged Arizona State University students to develop a marketing plan to help increase awareness around and excitement for the Arizona Diamondbacks Alumni Weekend & Alumni Game.

Eric Fischer

Eric Fischer

A 20+ year marketing, media, sales and sponsorship veteran who has worked to create innovative, integrated marketing, media and content platforms to drive revenues for global media organizations.  With a career spanning the agency, client, league and vendor perspective, Eric has worked at a senior management level within several of the most well-respected global media organizations including Clear Channel, Disney, Fox, McCann-Erickson Worldwide, MGM, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.  In these roles, he has been fortunate work with several of the world’s leading marketers such as Anheuser-Busch,  Coca-Cola, Dell, Electronic Arts, Fedex, Gatorade, Microsoft, Nestle USA, Sprite, Taco Bell, T-Mobile and Yahoo!, to develop, build and execute media-based marketing solutions that drive business results.

As Vice President, Global Media Solutions for the NBA, Eric was responsible for leading the league’s digital sponsorship and media innovation across its 75+ marketing partners across the NBA, WNBA, NBA Development League, USA Basketball as well as the Basketball Hall of Fame.

As Regional Vice President of Clear Channel Advantage, Eric led west coast efforts to create cross-platform marketing initiatives including developing customized media solutions involving 1,200+ local radio stations and the digital platforms for nationally syndicated personalities such as Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Laura Schlessinger and Jim Rome.

Most recently and before joining LifeLock, Eric was SVP, Content and Sponsorship at Digital Artists, working with the largest global brands to develop innovative social media programs taking advantage of world’s most famous athletes and team’s social media graph.  In addition Eric continues to consult start up and early stage companies within the sports and digital media innovation space.
