Where did you go to school and when did you graduate? What was your FOX Sports U project about?

I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Production in May 2014. During my FOX Sports University experience I worked on a 360 degree campaign to announce FOX Sports as the exclusive home for all USGA properties.

What is your current title – what job responsibilities fall under this role?

Currently I am the Senior Coordinator of Marketing and Client Services for FOX Sports Arizona. My responsibilities include monitoring and posting on all social media platforms, graphic design, coordinating community relations and fan development events, and assisting with advertising, on-air promotion and production.

What is your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part of my job is covering sporting events to give the public a behind the scenes look at what they aren’t usually able to see as a fan. I love bringing exclusive coverage to the community of the teams they idolize.

What was the most important lesson/skill you learned in working with Fox Sports University?

I really cherished the team atmosphere that FOX Sports University fostered. The class allowed me to gain real world sports business experience while enhancing my collaboration skills.

What advice would you give students still in school looking to gain experience in your line of work?

3 Things:
1.     Do as many internships as you can handle. Start small if you have to. Every experience counts and will get you one step closer to where you want to be.
2.     Work harder than everyone else. It won’t go unnoticed.
3.      Finally, just believe. Believe that you can actually accomplish your goal. It may sound cliché, but simply believing I could do it motivated me to keep working hard every single day.
