Nicole Pellicano

Nicole Pellicano

Nicole Pellicano is from Stamford, Connecticut and will graduate in May 2017 from Villanova University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences with a degree in Communication Public Relations. After graduation, Nicole hopes to pursue a career in public relations or marketing. She has a passion for sports and hopes to somehow incorporate that into her work. Her past experience includes an internship in the Vatican’s Communication offices in Rome, Italy and KPMG’s corporate communication team.

The opportunity FOX Sports U offered was one unlike anything else I’ve had at Villanova. I felt like the work I was doing actually mattered; it was a lot more than just a grade.

My passion for sports combined with my passion for PR and marketing made this project something I thoroughly looked forward to working on with my team. We found ourselves to be a lot more creative than we gave ourselves credit for!

The lessons I’ve learned through working with FOX Sports U are invaluable. The skills I developed will undoubtedly help me wherever I end up working after graduation.

Michaela Frost

Michaela Frost

Michaela is from Glenmoore, Pennsylvania. She was homeschooled throughout her primary and secondary education to fulfill her love for dancing by traveling with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Now at Villanova University, Michaela is a communication major aspiring to pursue work within human resources or public relations field. On campus, she involves herself with the orientation committee and PanHellenic recruitment to enhance and contribute to her overall college experience.

Having the opportunity to apply class material to a realistic marketing project was insightful and the guidance from Fox Sports Go representatives truly enhanced the overall experience.

Working with Fox Sports Go throughout the semester provided myself and classmates with the ability to propose a real life marketing strategy to representatives who were helpful and encouraging throughout the process.

I loved my experience with Fox Sports throughout the entirety of the semester and it was evident they were excited to work with my class as well.

Jacqueline Barnett

Jacqueline Barnett

Jacqueline Barnett is junior communications major, specializing in Public Relations and Media Studies, and minoring in Psychology at Villanova University. After completing her undergraduate studies she hopes to get a job in the Public relations, Advertising, or Marketing fields. She enjoys working with people and solving problems in a creative way.

The Fox Sports University Program gave me my first insight of what its like to work for a company and come up with audience targeted campaigns to promote a product.

I liked that Fox Sports University made this class more then just a simple group project, working with my team felt like I was doing more then just working towards a good grade rather working to help the company.

This past semester was one of my most enjoyable ones in college thus far because of this class. I got to learn so much more from hands on experience instead of simply reading about it and I loved that.

Kathleen Treganowan

Kathleen Treganowan

Kathleen Treganowan is a Senior Communications major and Business minor at Villanova University, graduating in May 2017. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in marketing or advertising. Kathleen has gained valuable marketing and advertising experience through many internships and client consultation projects. As a huge sports fan, especially Villanova men’s basketball and the New York Rangers, Kathleen was extremely excited to work with FOX Sports and be involved with this program.

The invaluable experience of working with FOX Sports is something that I will take with me as I pursue my future career.

FOX U gave us the unique chance to gain hands-on experience of working with a client and pitching our own ideas, and it truly enhanced my classroom experience.

The FOX Sports representatives gave us the guidance and resources to develop a well-rounded integrated marketing communications campaign. With their help, our team was able to come up with an innovative and engaging campaign idea.
