Jennifer Chang

Jennifer Chang

Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, Jennifer Chang is a junior currently completing her Bachelor of Strategic Public Relations, Marketing Minor and Business Finance Minor at University of Southern California. She is interested in entering the consumer electronics or hospitality field once she graduated, but she is open to any opportunities where she can bring her talent to the table. In her free time, Jennifer loves to travel with her family. She has been to The Bahamas, Canada, France, Spain, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Singapore, China, Japan, and Australia. Jennifer also enjoys playing the piano.

“The FOX Sports Project was the most challenging yet rewarding team project of my undergraduate career.”

Grace DeWitt

Grace DeWitt

Grace DeWitt is a junior working towards a degree in broadcast & digital journalism, with minors in sports media studies and marketing. After graduating she hopes to work in front of the camera as a sports anchor or reporter, helping fans get to know their favorite athletes as people, not just players. She loves sports, food, music, and a good adventure (she’s currently spending her spring semester in Rio de Janeiro).

“The Fox Sports U challenge was the first time I had ever really been able to take all that I’ve learned in my marketing classes and put it to the test. I couldn’t have asked for a better first way to do so.”

“I can’t remember a time I had been more passionate about a group project. Usually they are something people dread, but my group was always excited to meet and get to work.”

“Enrolling in this class was my top priority, knowing I could work with Fox Sports. The opportunity was well worth rearranging the rest of my class schedule.”

Thomas Leonard

Thomas Leonard

Tommy Leonard is a senior Business Administration major in USC’s Marshall School of Business, focusing in marketing. Since being recruited out of high school in Barrington, IL, Tommy has played on the USC Men’s Volleyball team. Having worked in the agency world during his undergraduate years, he hopes to continue in the fast paced environment, specializing in digital transformation before going back to school to pursue an MBA. Tommy sees himself entering a strategy role after the completion of his Masters, standing side by side with clients and helping them reach their business goals through creative, data-backed solutions. With the few hours per week not dedicated to school, internships, or volleyball, Tommy likes to get out and play golf…poorly.

“This experience refined the knowledge I had gained in school and through internships and challenged me to apply it all when it mattered most, for a real client.”

“While I was fortunate to work for a number of clients through various college courses, none offered as much creative freedom or respect for our ability as Fox Sports University.”

“As someone who plans on pursuing a career in advertising, I can tell you that nothing can make you stand out in interviews as much as speaking about the creation of an integrated campaign for a real-world client.”

Jessie Leventhal

Jessie Leventhal

Jessie is a senior at the University of Southern California pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Marketing. Tying together her academics, extracurricular activities, and previous summer internships, working for companies such as LVMH, Jessie has developed the skill sets that will add value to any career in marketing. In her final semester at USC, Jessie has decided to take advantage of L.A, the entertainment capital of the world, interning in Field Marketing and Promotions at Paramount Pictures. Jessie is an outgoing, ambitious leader who strives to engage in the task at hand, whilst working towards creatively changing the future. Originally from New Jersey, Jessie ventured out to Los Angeles to broaden her network and create new opportunities. In her spare time, Jessie loves spinning, traveling, and meditating.

Tong Liu

Tong Liu

Tong Liu is from Xinjiang, China. He currently attends the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, with a concentration in marketing and entrepreneurship. He will graduate in 2016. He loves sports and new technologies. He did a wide variety of marketing jobs for several traditional American businesses such as skin care product company in China. He knows how to make use of the power of instant online celebrities to expand market fast. However, he found that he wanted to do something more exciting. Recently, he and his partners are concentrating on developing a virtual reality live streaming app. The app will be available in May 2016.

“The Fox Sports University project provided our team a great opportunity to practically and creatively create a IMC. This practical experience is really helpful future career.”

Ian Parker

Ian Parker

Ian Parker is a current senior attending the University of Southern California. He is in the film school majoring in film and media studies, with a minor in both marketing and advertising. After graduation, Ian plans on staying in Los Angeles and chasing his dream of being involved in the entertainment industry. He intends on having a career in either the film or marketing world. Some of personal interests include writing, traveling, modern art, and poetry.

“Working on this project took a lot of time and required a lot of effort, but by the end of the day all of that hard work payed off.”

Heather Reitzfeld

Heather Reitzfeld

Heather was born and raised in Southern California and has been a Trojan fan her entire life! She is currently a student at the USC Marshall School of Business, majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. During her time at USC, Heather has held positions in Athletic and Concert Marketing, Research, and Mobile Advertising. In her free time, she likes to play volleyball and go snowboarding. Heather hopes to pursue a career in marketing or advertising after she graduates.

“Fox Sports University has presented us with the incredible and unique opportunity to create our own marketing plan from start to finish. The hands on experience was invaluable and will help me throughout my career.”

Juliana Yeh

Juliana Yeh

Juliana was born and raised in Southern California and currently resides in Diamond Bar, California. She will be graduating in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation, Juliana hopes to pursue a career in the creative side of marketing, specifically in the beauty and fashion industry. A few years down the road, she plans to apply for graduate school in order to earn an MBA. Juliana has a love for advertising and graphic design, which stems from her passion to create while solving problems.

Xinyu Xu

Xinyu Xu

Xinyu is originally from Shanghai, China and will graduate in May 2017 from University of Southern California. She will receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Marshall School of Business with an emphasis in marketing. After graduation, Xinyu is hoping to pursue a career in advertising, marketing and entrepreneurship. She had summer internship in Mc Dermott Will & Emery China Law office back in Shanghai and gained great experiences in the administration department. She also has great passion for fashion and entertainments. She wants to run her own company after working in the industry for several years.

“Working with FOX Sports U is an amazing and exciting experience for me because it is a real world case where we can put what we learned on the book into practice, and I had a sense of achievement when I knew our pitch had been approved. “

Fall 2015 Project Description

FOX Sports West and PrimeTicket challenged University of Southern California students to develop an integrated marketing campaign to promote FOX Sports’ TV Everywhere app, FOX Sports GO. Their goal was to present strategies and tactics that would increase awareness, downloads, and streaming of Clippers games on FOX Sports GO.

Lisa Cavanaugh

Lisa Cavanaugh

Dr. Lisa Cavanaugh is an expert in consumer psychology who focuses on the role of emotion and relationships in consumption. She studies how momentary emotions, chronically experienced emotions, and emotional cues in natural shopping environments shape consumer behavior. Her research and commentary have appeared in multiple media outlets including CNN, NPR, PBS, NBC, CBS, ABC, and The Discovery Channel. Lisa earned her BA with Honors and Highest Distinction and her Ph.D. from Duke University. Lisa is currently on the marketing faculty at the University of Southern California,Marshall School of Business.
