Cassandra Gelov

Cassandra Gelov

Cassandra Gelov is a senior at Michigan graduating with a BBA degree from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. She has a passion for marketing, specifically brand management, and will be working in this field for SC Johnson & Son after graduation. Her long term career goal is to own her own business and believes that brand management is a great start to her career! She was a cheerleader at Michigan for all 4 years, cheering on the Wolverines for football and basketball, and winning 3 National Championship Cheerleading titles.

Matt Rogers

Matt Rogers

Matt is from Rochester Hills, Michigan. He currently attends the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and will graduate in 2016. Through the Ross school, Matt has found his passion for innovative business strategy and entrepreneurship. Over the last two summers, Matt has worked at Fiat Chrysler and Deloitte in both corporate finance and consulting. Upon graduation, Matt plans to take a year to launch his own company, or join a small firm where he can make a difference as part of a project team. Outside of school and work life, Matt enjoys fishing, family, and Detroit sports.

Jared McNeir

Jared McNeir

Jared McNeir is a rising senior at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, concentrating on marketing and strategy. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Jared has made Ann Arbor his second home and is heavily involved in the campus community. Some of his involvements include serving as an “Academic Success Partner” for first and second year students, being a Diversity Peer Educator in the South Quad residence hall, and being the President of the Sigma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi.  His hobbies include basketball, running, reviewing music and participating in fashion shows. In the summer 2015, Jared will be interning for Target to develop new retail strategies and improve the customer experience. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a career in brand management, or consulting.

“FOX Sports University is extremely real world. It allowed me to use the skills that I have gained from U of M and apply them to an authentic situation in the hopes of applying tangible results. The personal and professional skills I developed from the program are invaluable.”

 

Spring 2015 Project Description

In the spring of 2015, FOX Sports U students at the University of Michigan were challenged to create concepts and ideas that formulate an overarching campaign focused on increasing viewership for FOX Sports Detroit in relation to the on-air talent that supports the Red Wings.

 

Professor Profile

David Wooten

David Wooten

David Wooten is the Alfred L. Edwards Associate Professor of Marketing at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He earned his Ph.D. and MBA degrees from the University of Michigan and a BBA degree from Georgia State University. Prior to joining the Ross Faculty, he served on the faculties of Columbia University and the University of Florida. Before pursuing an academic career, he was employed in marketing research at General Mills.

He has taught marketing management at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His research has been published in the Journal of Consumer ResearchJournal of Consumer Psychology, and other academic journals and cited in such outlets as the New York Times and CNN.com. He is on the editorial review boards of the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Consumer Psychology and the Journal of Sport Management.
