Jon Rainho

Jon Rainho

Jon grew up in the Ironbound section of Newark, NJ. He completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers Business School with dual B.S. degrees in Finance & Economics in May of 2008. Jon has worked in Corporate Finance for 7 years with vast experience in Business Planning & Analysis, Financial Modeling, and Investment Optimization. To diversify his skill set, Jon returned to his alma mater to complete his MBA part time with a concentration in Marketing Research and is expected to graduate in May of 2018. During his time off, Jon enjoys cooking, attending concerts, and spending time with his wife Silvia and french bulldog Mugsy.

Megan Gerard

Megan Gerard

Megan Gerard is excited to be graduating from Rutgers Business School in May 2016 with degrees in Marketing Research Insights and Analytics and Marketing.  Upon graduation, Megan is looking to continue growing her career by applying her experience as a Senior Sales Manager at the InterContinental Times Square Hotel with the skills garnered as an MBA student.  Megan is passionate about collaborating on engaging projects to resolve challenges in a variety of industries.  In that vein, Megan loves to travel, whether for business or pleasure, to experience different cultures, cuisines, and natural landscapes all around the world.

“I enjoyed knowing that we were working on a real life challenge currently facing FOX Deportes. As someone who is very interested in pursuing marketing strategy, it was great to get hands on experience in this area.”

Jon Roberts

Jon Roberts is a Rutgers Business School (RBS) MBA candidate with a Strategy concentration, and completes his course requirements in January 2016.  He is from Jersey City, NJ and has Bachelor’s degree in Marketing as well as technology related certifications. Upon completing his studies at Rutgers Business School, Jon plans to continue working in the field of information and technology risk for global institutions.  In the long term, he aspires to establish a start-up technology firm with knowledge gained through his MBA experience.  During his free time, Jon enjoys taking on home improvement projects and watching sports with friends.

Shaily Chheda

Shaily Chheda

Shaily Chheda is a Flex MBA student at Rutgers Business School with a dual concentration in Supply Chain Management and Strategy & Leadership. She will graduate in May 2016. Shaily received her B.S. degree from the University of Maryland, majoring in Supply Chain Management and Operations Management.  She has experience working in various roles spanning procurement, supply chain, and demand planning with two global Fortune 200 CPG companies. In her free time, Shaily enjoys reading, House Hunters, and watching sports.

Lucila Tessi

Lucila Tessi

Lucila was born in Argentina and grew up in New Jersey. She is a Fordham University alum and is in the midst of pursing her MBA at Rutgers Business School, with a concentration in Marketing. By day, she works as Brand Strategist at CBX, a global branding agency based in New York City. Lucila partners with top tier consumer product good companies to develop and implement actionable strategies that help drive value with things like consumer research, brand positioning,  and verbal identity. She excels at bringing her business school experience into work and vice versa. When she’s not at school or work, Lucila enjoys any opportunity to travel. She has been in Europe, Central and South America and the Caribbean. Her next scheduled adventure is to hike Machu Picchu and absorb not just the scenery, but learn more about the rich culture and heritage of the Incan Empire.

Fall 2015 Project Description

FOX Sports University partnered for the first time with Rutgers University Business School, challenging MBA students with a semester-long consumer research project. Students were tasked with researching into perception and brand awareness of properties in the FOX Sports family.

 

Professor Profile

Ashwani Monga

Ashwani Monga

Dr. Ashwani Monga is Professor of Marketing and Chair of the Marketing Department at Rutgers Business School. He has taught undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral courses, and is the recipient of several teaching awards. Dr. Monga’s research is in the area of consumer judgment and decision making, particularly with respect to time (time-money differences, waiting time and patience, etc.). He is an Associate Editor at the Journal of Consumer Psychology, and is on the Editorial Review Boards of the Journal of Consumer Research and the International Journal of Research in Marketing (and has previously served on the ERB of the Journal of Marketing and the Journal of Consumer Psychology). His research has appeared in the following journals (in alphabetical order): Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Retailing, Marketing Letters, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. Dr. Monga holds a B.Tech (National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal), an M.B.A. (Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad) and a Ph.D. (University of Minnesota, Twin Cities). Prior to joining academia, he worked a few years in the industry.
