“The Fox Sports U program gave me the opportunity to explore all sides of a campaign, giving me a greater understanding for how the whole process works.”

“I loved being able to have full creative liberty throughout the entire project.”

“The fact that Fox Sports U implements the campaign strategy into the real world makes the whole project that much more worth the time and effort as opposed to just receiving a grade.”

“FOX Sports University gave our team a unique and challenging opportunity to create real work for a real client. Not many students can say they have that type of experience before graduating. It has given each of us a competitive advantage heading into our professional careers.”

“It’s exciting to see something you’ve worked so hard on come to life through FOX Sports University. It’s incredibly rewarding to have your own student work created for real audiences.”

“FOX Sports University allowed me to work with a group of talented women from Mizzou, but also with client contacts at FOX Sports Midwest, and representatives from the St. Louis Rams, Blues, and Cardinals. I not only grew academically from this experience, but professionally as well.”

“Working with Fox Sports and the three St. Louis teams was an amazing experience. I don’t know of any other programs beyond Fox Sports University that allow students to gain such hands-on and real-world experience that is invaluable.”

“Being able to see our campaign actually go to production and eventually to air made me realize how much Fox Sports Midwest and the teams actually valued and listened to our opinions. It’s not just another class project to them.”

“It was one thing to get to work with Fox Sports Midwest and the teams all semester long, but getting to actually go see and have input in the commercial production shoot was unlike any other experience I’ve had in college.”

Spring 2014 Project Description

The Spring 2014 FOX Sports U program challenged Missouri students to create a unique 360 degree branding campaign for FOX Sports Midwest through revamping a specific digital strategy already in existence. The hashtag, #TeamSTL was already in circulation, and the teams focused on bringing the trend to life beyond social media. The St. Louis Cardinals created #TeamSTL in conjunction with the St. Louis Blues, and St. Louis Rams in 2013. The hashtag is meant to showcase the support and respect each St. Louis team has for one another.
