Grant Greeley

Grant completed his degree at the Walter Cronkite School. Currently, Grant is in the process of getting part-time work with the Arizona Cardinals. He also reports for high school on KNTR Sports, a radio station in his hometown. He would eventually like to work for a sports organization. Grant played roller hockey for ASU for four years.

Angel Alamendares

Angel Almendares is originally from Vallejo, California. He served four years in the United States Marine Corps before attending  the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications along with a certificate in Special Events Management. Angel is an avid sports fan, and roots for his hometown teams in the Bay Area. Angel currently works in tv news in Phoenix and hopes to find his way into the sports industry.

Fall 2014 Project Description

For the sixth year, Fox Sports University and Arizona State University are partnering together for students to work on a real-world project. Students are tasked with creating and detailing a marketing campaign promoting the 2015 MLB Arizona Diamondbacks’ season, specifically targeting increasing youth viewership.

Eric Fischer

A 20+ year marketing, media, sales and sponsorship veteran who has worked to create innovative, integrated marketing, media and content platforms to drive revenues for global media organizations.  With a career spanning the agency, client, league and vendor perspective, Eric has worked at a senior management level within several of the most well-respected global media organizations including Clear Channel, Disney, Fox, McCann-Erickson Worldwide, MGM, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.  In these roles, he has been fortunate work with several of the world’s leading marketers such as Anheuser-Busch,  Coca-Cola, Dell, Electronic Arts, Fedex, Gatorade, Microsoft, Nestle USA, Sprite, Taco Bell, T-Mobile and Yahoo!, to develop, build and execute media-based marketing solutions that drive business results.

 

As Vice President, Global Media Solutions for the NBA, Eric was responsible for leading the league’s digital sponsorship and media innovation across its 75+ marketing partners across the NBA, WNBA, NBA Development League, USA Basketball as well as the Basketball Hall of Fame.

 

As Regional Vice President of Clear Channel Advantage, Eric led west coast efforts to create cross-platform marketing initiatives including developing customized media solutions involving 1,200+ local radio stations and the digital platforms for nationally syndicated personalities such as Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Laura Schlessinger and Jim Rome.

 

Most recently and before joining LifeLock, Eric was SVP, Content and Sponsorship at Digital Artists, working with the largest global brands to develop innovative social media programs taking advantage of world’s most famous athletes and team’s social media graph.  In addition Eric continues to consult start up and early stage companies within the sports and digital media innovation space.
